Jewelry Size Guides and Jewelry Clasp Reference
We鈥檝e made it simple to get your jewelry details right, whether you鈥檙e selling your precious pieces, treating yourself or treating a very lucky someone else.
Rings
WHEN SHOPPING: Find your perfect ring size by wrapping string or paper around the base of your finger. Mark where the paper or string first overlaps with a pen. Stretch the length of it out along a ruler, and take down the length in millimeters (mm). Pick the closest measurement on the ring size chart to determine your ring size.
Pro Tips:
路 Ensure accuracy with multiple tries because size fluctuates depending on temperature. Your finger can be smaller the colder you are and more swollen if you're overheated.
路 If you know your knuckle is on the larger side, round up half a size bigger than what your finger indicates, otherwise you won't be able slide a ring into the right place. A ring should fit your finger comfortably, snug enough so that it will not fall off, but loose enough to slide over your knuckle with some resistance.
WHEN SELLING: Take your ring and use a ruler and measure straight across the inside of your ring from inside edge to inside edge. Take the diameter measurement in millimeters (mm), and then use our ring size chart to determine your ring size.
Necklaces
WHEN SHOPPING: Choose what's right for you based on where you want it to fall on your neck. See our guide to pick your perfect length. Necklaces are measured in inches (").
WHEN SELLING: Determine your necklace length by laying your necklace on a flat surface in a straight line. Using a ruler or tape measure, measure it from one end of the clasp to the other. Or with the clasp fastened, lay your necklace down on a flat surface. Measure its length in inches (") from end to end, and double the measurement to find the full length of your necklace.
If your necklace isn't bendable, use a soft measuring tape, string or floss, then measure the string or floss with a ruler or measuring tape and take down the length in inches (").
Bracelets
WHEN SHOPPING: Determine your bracelet size by wrapping a soft measuring tape, string or paper slightly below your wrist bone. Mark the point where the ends meet with a pen. Measure the paper or string with a ruler in inches (") to get the diameter of the bracelet. Pick the closest measurement on the bracelet chart to find your size.
For bangles, touch your thumb to your pinky finger as if you were fitting your hand into a bangle. Wrap either a soft measuring tape , string or paper around the widest part of your hand, which is generally the base knuckles. Then measure the string or paper length in centimeters (cm) to determine your wrist size. Then match the measurement to the bracelet chart.
Pro Tips:
路 These wrist measurement references are a general recommendation, but it's up to your personal preference if you like to wear your bracelets a bit larger for "wiggle room".
路 Bracelets with link or toggle clasps may be adjustable to your perfect fit, so measurements are not necessary.
WHEN SELLING: Determine your bracelet length by laying your bracelet on a flat surface in a straight line. Using a ruler or tape measure, measure it from one end of the clasp to the other.
For bangles or cuffs, use a ruler and measure straight across the inside of your bracelet from inside edge to inside edge. Take the diameter measurement in inches ("), and then use our bracelet size chart to find your size.
